About the Role

The Junior Project Accountant will manage day‑to‑day accounting tasks for the organization’s projects, ensuring accurate bookkeeping, compliance with GAPP, and timely reporting to donors while maintaining clean and secure financial records.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare checks and dispatch to clients
  • Maintain journal voucher files and deliver to accountants for posting
  • Handle bank matters securely
  • Ensure work area cleanliness and security
  • Update bank balance with check pad
  • Record and post financial transactions in appropriate accounts
  • Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries
  • Compile monthly payroll
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliation statements
  • Perform other duties assigned by supervisor
