About the Role

Lead trainer/consultant tasked with designing and delivering a public interest journalism module focused on OSINT, investigation, verification, and audience relevance for Ethiopian media houses participating in the AMIRP Fellowship.

Responsibilities

  • Review program documents and assess editorial needs
  • Design a practical public interest journalism module for two cohorts
  • Develop exercises, templates, checklists, and guidance notes
  • Create assignments and thematic outputs for newsroom use
  • Conduct ToT sessions with assistant trainers
  • Co‑facilitate training workshops and clinics
  • Provide limited follow-up support to media houses
  • Document learning outcomes and recommendations
