About the Role

The Education Officer will implement and oversee education programs for refugees and host communities in the Somali Region, coordinating activities, managing resources, training staff, and ensuring quality outcomes while supporting youth empowerment initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate refugee/IDP and host community education activities
  • Ensure adherence to policies and donor requirements
  • Develop implementation plans and manage budgets
  • Engage partners such as UNHCR, local authorities
  • Procure and distribute educational materials
  • Train staff and monitor programme delivery
  • Prepare progress reports
  • Introduce new technologies and methods
  • Support youth enrolment and vocational training
  • Mentor youth for employment opportunities
