The Education Officer supports the day‑to‑day implementation of education activities for refugees, IDPs, and host communities in Somali Region, coordinating planning, monitoring, procurement, staff development, and community engagement to deliver quality education and vocational training.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate refugee/IDP and host community education activities
- Ensure adherence to NRC policies and donor requirements
- Engage communities and leaders
- Develop implementation plans
- Collaborate with monitoring agencies and local authorities
- Manage procurement of materials and equipment
- Train and develop staff
- Prepare progress reports
- Introduce new technologies and methods
- Maintain program quality
- Support Centre Management Committees
- Mobilize community participation
- Facilitate youth enrollment in education and vocational training
- Monitor skill development programs
- Mentor youth for employment sustainability
- Supervise and monitor program implementation
- Coordinate logistics for training centers
