The Import & Export Manager leads all aspects of international trade logistics for New Flower General Trading PLC, ensuring regulatory compliance, efficient shipment execution, and strong stakeholder relationships.
Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end import/export operations including shipment planning, documentation, customs clearance, and delivery
- Ensure compliance with Ethiopian Customs Commission, National Bank of Ethiopia, and Ministry of Trade regulations
- Manage trade documents such as permits, letters of credit, and export certificates
- Coordinate with shipping lines, freight forwarders, clearing agents, inspection agencies, and transport companies
- Supervise the operations team and provide performance feedback
- Prepare periodic reports and propose cost-saving strategies
- Maintain supplier and buyer relationships locally and internationally
