About the Role

The role involves designing and executing a documentary project that captures survivor stories of women affected by conflict in Ethiopia, producing a professional film to support SGBV advocacy efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Review project documents and develop an inception report
  • Design methodology, tools, and timeline for data collection
  • Conduct field interviews with survivors and stakeholders using trauma-informed approaches
  • Compile written case stories and audio-visual narratives
  • Capture high‑quality video footage, ambient sound, and contextual visuals
  • Produce a 15–20 minute documentary with scripting, editing, narration, subtitles, and post‑production work
  • Create short advocacy clips for social media
  • Validate findings with NEWA before finalization
  • Submit all deliverables in soft copy format
