The role involves designing and executing a documentary project that captures survivor stories of women affected by conflict in Ethiopia, producing a professional film to support SGBV advocacy efforts.
Responsibilities
- Review project documents and develop an inception report
- Design methodology, tools, and timeline for data collection
- Conduct field interviews with survivors and stakeholders using trauma-informed approaches
- Compile written case stories and audio-visual narratives
- Capture high‑quality video footage, ambient sound, and contextual visuals
- Produce a 15–20 minute documentary with scripting, editing, narration, subtitles, and post‑production work
- Create short advocacy clips for social media
- Validate findings with NEWA before finalization
- Submit all deliverables in soft copy format
