About the Role

The Account Controller oversees all Mella and M-Pesa accounting functions, ensuring accurate reconciliation, inventory management, and internal controls while producing comprehensive financial reports for the Finance Department.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Mella and M-Pesa accounts and internal controls
  • Conduct inventory assessments and physical reconciliations
  • Perform monthly stock counts and report findings
  • Synchronize bank, M-Pesa, and Safaricom dealer transactions with the general ledger
  • Reconcile revenue against cash collections across branches
  • Oversee sales incentives and commission distribution
  • Maintain accounts receivable/payable and ensure timely collections
  • Produce daily, weekly, monthly and ad-hoc financial reports
