About the Role

The Senior Accountant will manage comprehensive financial reporting, cost accounting, and inventory control for a leading plastic manufacturing company, ensuring compliance with IFRS, Ethiopian tax laws, and internal controls while supporting budgeting and strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure statutory compliance
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
  • Manage cost accounting for raw materials, WIP and finished goods
  • Support standard costing and BOM reviews
  • Analyze material, labor and overhead variances
  • Monitor inventory system and reconcile sub-ledger to general ledger
  • Lead periodic physical inventories and resolve discrepancies
  • Collaborate with department heads on budgeting and forecasting
  • Prepare tax computations and ensure timely filing
  • Oversee the finance team and provide technical mentorship
