About the Role

The Staff Credentialing and Privileging Coordinator ensures that all medical personnel are legally qualified and compliant with accreditation standards, managing their credentials and privileges to support safe patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Verify medical staff qualifications and approvals of clinical privileges
  • Administer initial application and periodic re‑credentialing processes
  • Update and process procedure‑based clinical privileges
  • Schedule, prepare agendas and minutes for MEC and Credentials Committee
  • Maintain compliance with TJC, national QA committee and state health regulations
  • Manage confidential practitioner profiles in credentialing software
  • Serve as primary contact between staff, administration and billing for enrollment
