The Transitor And Custom Clearing Officer will oversee import/export shipments, ensuring accurate documentation, customs clearance compliance, and efficient logistics coordination to support the company’s supply chain operations.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage import/export shipment processes
- Prepare and process shipping/customs clearance documentation
- Facilitate customs clearance procedures
- Coordinate with customs authorities, freight forwarders, shipping agents and transport providers
- Track shipment movement and ensure timely delivery
- Monitor cargo status and resolve delays or discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with laws and regulations
- Maintain records of shipment transactions
- Support procurement and warehouse teams
- Negotiate with logistics service providers
- Prepare logistics reports
- Ensure proper handling/storage during transit
- Identify process improvement opportunities
