The Financial Inclusion Officer will drive the design, implementation, and scaling of inclusive digital financial services across Ethiopia, focusing on climate resilience, gender equality, and community-based savings groups.
Responsibilities
- Support implementation of high-quality financial inclusion programming through capacity-building and market assessments.
- Design Intervention Concept Notes integrating climate resilience and gender-transformative approaches.
- Lead VSLA establishment, expansion, and digitization activities in Oromia region.
- Collaborate with financial institutions, fintechs, regulators, and partners to strengthen product design and consumer protection systems.
- Monitor progress, identify risks, and ensure compliance with Mercy Corps policies.
