The Financial Inclusion Officer will design and implement digital financial inclusion interventions in Ethiopia, focusing on climate‑responsive, Sharia‑compliant products and VSLA digitization. The role involves partnership building, market assessment, program management, and gender integration to enhance rural household resilience.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate partnerships with financial institutions, fintechs, regulators and stakeholders
- Conduct market system assessments focused on climate-responsive products and gender inclusion
- Design Intervention Concept Notes integrating MSD principles
- Lead VSLA establishment, expansion, and digitization in Oromia zones
- Support partner FIs to develop climate‑responsive financial products
- Strengthen agent networks through recruitment, training, and supervision
- Ensure gender integration with a minimum of 50% women participation
- Monitor progress, identify risks, and report findings
