The Financial Inclusion Advisor will design and implement digital and Sharia‑compliant financial inclusion strategies, lead VSLA digitization efforts, build partnerships with key market actors, and ensure program monitoring and gender integration across Ethiopia.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the RAISE‑DFS II implementation plan
- Conduct market system assessments and design interventions
- Lead VSLA establishment, expansion and digitization
- Build partnerships with financial institutions, fintechs and regulators
- Support partner FIs in developing climate‑responsive products
- Strengthen agent networks and consumer protection systems
- Ensure gender integration and data compliance
- Monitor progress and manage risks
- Produce high‑quality reports for Mercy Corps Ethiopia
