The Financial Inclusion Advisor will lead the design, implementation and monitoring of digital and Sharia-compliant financial services interventions across Ethiopia, focusing on women, youth and climate resilience. Responsibilities include market assessments, partnership development, VSLA digitization, product design and ensuring gender integration and consumer protection throughout the program.
Responsibilities
- Design intervention concept notes integrating gender and climate resilience
- Conduct market system assessments for financial services
- Build partnerships with banks, MFIs, fintechs, regulators and VSLA groups
- Lead VSLA digitization and expansion in Oromia region
- Support development of climate-responsive products and agent networks
- Ensure consumer protection and KYC compliance
- Monitor program progress and manage risks
- Provide capacity building and gender mainstreaming support
