The Finance Officer oversees the accounting, budgeting, and administrative functions of Mercy Corps’ Woldiya field office, ensuring accurate financial management, compliance with donor and organizational policies, and support for procurement and payroll activities.
Responsibilities
- Manage day‑to‑day financial transactions at the Woldiya Field Office
- Ensure accurate accounting and documentation of all financial activities
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and VAT claims
- Support procurement and logistics processes
- Maintain financial records, budgets, and internal controls
- Assist in payroll preparation and staff onboarding finances
- Coordinate with donor and government compliance requirements
- Provide financial reporting to program managers
