The Senior Accountant will oversee daily finance operations, ensuring accurate recording of transactions, timely reconciliations, and compliant reporting while supporting budgeting, tax filing, and audit activities for an import/export business.
Responsibilities
- Manage day‑to‑day finance operations including accounts payable, receivable, payroll and cash receipts
- Perform month‑end journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
- Ensure revenue and expense recognition in compliance with GAAP
- Monitor cash balances and forecast cash flow
- Prepare and file taxes under Ethiopian law
- Assist with budget development and financial reporting
- Coordinate external audits
- Train staff on financial software
