The SBCC Officer designs and implements nutrition-focused communication activities to change behaviors in refugee and host communities, supporting early detection of malnutrition, capacity building, and integration with broader health interventions.
Responsibilities
- Plan, implement and monitor SBCC interventions to improve nutrition outcomes in refugee and host communities
- Develop culturally appropriate messages and IEC materials
- Facilitate community outreach and participation activities
- Support early case detection of malnutrition and CMAM surge implementation
- Build capacity of health workers and community volunteers
- Integrate SBCC with health, WASH and nutrition-sensitive interventions
- Monitor progress, collect data, produce reports and learn from experience
- Coordinate with government and partner agencies to ensure alignment with national strategies
