About the Role

The SBCC Officer designs and implements nutrition-focused communication activities to change behaviors in refugee and host communities, supporting early detection of malnutrition, capacity building, and integration with broader health interventions.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, implement and monitor SBCC interventions to improve nutrition outcomes in refugee and host communities
  • Develop culturally appropriate messages and IEC materials
  • Facilitate community outreach and participation activities
  • Support early case detection of malnutrition and CMAM surge implementation
  • Build capacity of health workers and community volunteers
  • Integrate SBCC with health, WASH and nutrition-sensitive interventions
  • Monitor progress, collect data, produce reports and learn from experience
  • Coordinate with government and partner agencies to ensure alignment with national strategies
