The Midwife Supervisor will strengthen maternal and newborn health services at a MOH facility by providing clinical supervision, capacity building, and systems strengthening to improve outcomes. The role focuses on quality care delivery, mentorship of midwives, and coordination with MoH staff in a challenging security context.
Responsibilities
- Oversee ANC services ensuring quality care
- Provide supportive supervision and mentoring to MoH midwives
- Strengthen competencies in labour monitoring, emergency obstetric complications, and newborn care
- Develop and implement SOPs for obstetric and newborn care
- Ensure availability and proper use of emergency kits
- Promote infection prevention and control practices
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and reporting
- Prepare duty rosters and coordinate with MoH counterparts
- Organize routine maternity meetings
