The Nursing Activity Manager leads all nursing operations within the MSF Amhara project, ensuring high‑quality patient care, protocol compliance, staffing management, and infection prevention while coordinating with logistics, pharmacy, and medical teams.
Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and supervise all nursing activities (IPD, OPD, maternity, nutrition) and ensure adherence to MSF protocols
- Coordinate staffing schedules, duty rosters, and on‑call rotations for nursing staff
- Supervise implementation of therapeutic protocols, including NTD management and related services such as MCH, mental health, OT or surgery
- Ensure quality and continuity of patient care through documentation, data management, and monitoring of clinical outcomes
- Manage pharmacy activities in collaboration with pharmacists and medco, monitor stock levels and expiration dates
- Oversee laboratory outputs linked to nursing activities and coordinate with biomedical service for medical device use
- Lead infection prevention and control initiatives, including training, audits, and interdepartmental coordination
- Support capacity building, recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of nursing staff
- Participate in monthly reporting, clinical rounds, IPC forums, and hospital coordination meetings
- Provide flexible support to decentralization sites as needed
