The Senior Accountant will manage core accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, tax compliance, and internal controls for a leading Ethiopian coffee exporter.
Responsibilities
- Ensure statutory compliance (VAT, withholding tax)
- Prepare monthly/annual financial reports
- Manage closing processes
- Reconcile cash collections and bank statements
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable
- Handle import/export transaction documentation
- Apply Incoterms to shipping costs
- Record accruals for inventory and customs
- Produce balance sheet, income statement, cash flow reports
- Track goods in transit and inventory ownership
