The Rig Mechanic will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair drilling rigs at the Kurmuk Gold Mine, ensuring safe and reliable operation while minimizing downtime.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on drilling rigs
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and diesel engine faults
- Conduct routine inspections to prevent breakdowns
- Repair or replace defective components such as pumps, motors, cylinders, hoses, compressors, and powertrain systems
- Execute field breakdown repairs and emergency maintenance
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders
- Ensure rigs meet manufacturer specifications and company standards
- Monitor equipment performance and recommend reliability improvements
- Adhere to HSE policies and safe work procedures
