About the Role

The Inventory Planning Officer manages inventory levels, forecasts demand, coordinates replenishment and ensures efficient stock control across mining operations to support uninterrupted production while minimizing excess costs.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor inventory levels and maintain optimal stock availability
  • Prepare inventory forecasts based on consumption trends and operational demands
  • Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, maintenance and operations for timely replenishment
  • Analyze usage of slow‑moving or obsolete items and recommend corrective actions
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation within ERP systems
  • Assist in setting minimum and maximum stock levels for critical materials
  • Support periodic and annual inventory audits
  • Prepare performance reports and planning updates for management
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, safety standards and inventory policies
