The Inventory Planning Officer manages inventory levels, forecasts demand, coordinates replenishment and ensures efficient stock control across mining operations to support uninterrupted production while minimizing excess costs.
Responsibilities
- Monitor inventory levels and maintain optimal stock availability
- Prepare inventory forecasts based on consumption trends and operational demands
- Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, maintenance and operations for timely replenishment
- Analyze usage of slow‑moving or obsolete items and recommend corrective actions
- Maintain accurate records and documentation within ERP systems
- Assist in setting minimum and maximum stock levels for critical materials
- Support periodic and annual inventory audits
- Prepare performance reports and planning updates for management
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, safety standards and inventory policies
