The Associate, Markets role supports the design and implementation of rural finance initiatives, strengthening market linkages and expanding access to digital credit for smallholder farmers and MSMEs in Ethiopia.
Responsibilities
- Support analysis of priority rural value chains and identify financing gaps
- Assist in designing interventions that strengthen market linkages
- Coordinate with cooperatives, aggregators, and local institutions for adoption of digital financial services
- Onboard and build capacity of cooperatives as last‑mile agents
- Monitor uptake and outcomes of digital lending solutions
- Track performance using KPIs and contribute to project reports
- Engage stakeholders and facilitate training on productive credit use
