The Sr. Category Buyer supports the Category Manager in efficient, cost-effective procurement of brewery materials and services, leading negotiations, ensuring compliance, mentoring juniors, and driving process improvements.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day procurement activities ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Lead negotiations for mid- to high-value contracts
- Ensure contract adherence and raise issues when needed
- Identify cost-saving opportunities within categories
- Collaborate with brewing, packaging, and operations teams on quality standards
- Monitor supplier risks and market trends
- Prepare procurement reports and spend analyses
- Coordinate with finance, logistics, and operations for alignment
- Mentor junior buyers and foster skill development
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives
