The Agronomist will develop and execute malt barley production plans to meet brewery demands, support local farmers through training and quality control, and ensure timely, high-quality supply while coordinating logistics and data reporting.
Responsibilities
- Develop annual malt barley production plans aligned with demand
- Identify suitable barley-growing areas and agro-ecologies
- Prepare seasonal production schedules for timely supply
- Support out-grower farmers in training, extension services, and quality control
- Manage seed selection, crop management, and field monitoring
- Ensure quality control for malting standards and post-harvest handling
- Oversee input supply and credit scheme management
- Collect data, report, and forecast demand
- Coordinate with stakeholders and manage malt barley collection
