The Senior Risk and Compliance Officer leads the development and execution of risk management strategies across all operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, identifying operational risks, and providing actionable recommendations to safeguard the institution’s financial integrity.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and implement risk management plan
- Identify and assess enterprise-wide risks including credit, operational, liquidity, fraud, and compliance
- Maintain and update risk register aligned with appetite and tolerances
- Conduct branch risk assessments and support capacity building
- Follow up on corrective actions and mitigation plans
- Provide recommendations to management
- Ensure compliance with NBE directives, AML/CFT laws and internal policies
- Monitor suspicious transactions and report to FIC
- Develop and review compliance policies and guidelines
- Prepare periodic risk & compliance reports for senior management and regulators
