About the Role

Senior Machinery Sales Officer responsible for driving sales of heavy equipment through strategic prospecting, client management, and tender participation while coordinating cross-functional support and maintaining strong industry relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to meet territory targets
  • Prospect new business opportunities across commercial sectors, government, NGOs, contractors, and private enterprises
  • Manage customer accounts and negotiate sales closures
  • Advise customers on machinery selection based on operational needs
  • Coordinate product demonstrations, site visits, and technical presentations
  • Prepare technical and commercial proposals, quotations, and bid documents
  • Participate in machinery tenders and procurement opportunities
  • Ensure compliance with tender requirements and deadlines
  • Build long-term relationships with key stakeholders
  • Collaborate with after-sales, workshop, technical, and spare-parts teams for delivery and support
  • Assist customers with financing options
  • Monitor competitor activities and market trends
  • Support junior sales personnel during visits and tender preparation
  • Prepare periodic sales reports, forecasts, and market intelligence updates
