Senior Machinery Sales Officer responsible for driving sales of heavy equipment through strategic prospecting, client management, and tender participation while coordinating cross-functional support and maintaining strong industry relationships.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies to meet territory targets
- Prospect new business opportunities across commercial sectors, government, NGOs, contractors, and private enterprises
- Manage customer accounts and negotiate sales closures
- Advise customers on machinery selection based on operational needs
- Coordinate product demonstrations, site visits, and technical presentations
- Prepare technical and commercial proposals, quotations, and bid documents
- Participate in machinery tenders and procurement opportunities
- Ensure compliance with tender requirements and deadlines
- Build long-term relationships with key stakeholders
- Collaborate with after-sales, workshop, technical, and spare-parts teams for delivery and support
- Assist customers with financing options
- Monitor competitor activities and market trends
- Support junior sales personnel during visits and tender preparation
- Prepare periodic sales reports, forecasts, and market intelligence updates
