About the Role

A senior storekeeper oversees all aspects of inventory management in a warehouse, ensuring accurate records, optimal stock levels, and smooth logistical operations while supervising junior staff.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect and record incoming materials and supplies
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using manual logs or ERP systems
  • Organize storage area for efficient retrieval and safety
  • Issue supplies based on authorized requests
  • Monitor stock levels and notify management of low stock or discrepancies
  • Conduct regular stock‑taking and audits
  • Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of the store
  • Coordinate with suppliers, procurement and logistics departments
  • Maintain records of stock transfers, returns and wastage
  • Comply with health and safety regulations and company policies
