The Assistant Store Keeper supports the Store Manager by managing daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, issuing materials, maintaining inventory records, enforcing safety standards, and coordinating with production teams to ensure smooth material flow.
Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, inspect and store incoming raw materials and parts
- Issue raw materials and supplies to manufacturing teams based on requisitions
- Prepare finished goods for dispatch ensuring accurate packing and labeling
- Maintain real‑time stock records in ERP systems
- Monitor minimum stock levels and alert management
- Participate in cycle counts and physical inventory audits
- Apply FIFO method to prevent spoilage or obsolescence
- Enforce health and safety protocols and maintain a clean warehouse environment
- Inspect warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks
