About the Role

The Junior Midwife delivers comprehensive maternity care, supporting expectant and new mothers through antenatal, delivery, and postnatal stages while ensuring high standards of infection control and teamwork within a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide antenatal, labor, delivery, and postnatal care
• Monitor maternal and fetal well-being during labor
• Assist normal deliveries and identify obstetric emergencies
• Deliver immediate newborn care and breastfeeding support
• Educate mothers and families on maternal and newborn health
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and records
• Adhere to infection prevention and patient safety standards
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives
