Finance Officer

About the Role

The Finance Officer manages day‑to‑day financial transactions in the Harar field office, ensuring accurate payment processing, cash management, reconciliation, and compliance with IRC’s financial controls while supporting staff development.

Responsibilities

• Verify payment requests and supporting documents
• Ensure payments are processed in Integra after approval
• Conduct three‑way matching of invoices, purchase orders and receipts
• Monitor cash operations and perform daily cash counts
• Reconcile bank statements weekly
• Maintain financial records on Integra and upload documentation to Box
• Provide training on IRC financial policies to new staff
