About the Role

The Senior VAWG Response Officer leads prevention and response activities for Violence Against Women and Girls within IDP sites in Ethiopia, overseeing staff supervision, data management, capacity building, and stakeholder coordination to protect survivors and strengthen community resilience.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and monitor VAWG program implementation
  • Supervise day‑to‑day activities including case management and advocacy
  • Provide direct supervision and mentoring to staff
  • Develop and monitor program plans, procurement, and spending
  • Ensure safe data collection and reporting
  • Conduct regular team meetings and community consultations
  • Submit activity reports on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis
  • Recruit and train VAWG staff and volunteers
  • Assist in performance evaluations and HR processes
  • Design capacity‑building strategies
  • Maintain stakeholder relationships with government bodies and partners
  • Mobilize stakeholders for coordination meetings
  • Collaborate with other sectors to ensure program support
