The Senior VAWG Response Officer leads prevention and response activities for violence against women and girls in Ethiopian IDP sites, overseeing staff, program implementation, data management and stakeholder collaboration to ensure timely, participatory interventions.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor VAWG program implementation in IDP sites
- Supervise day‑to‑day activities including case management, psychosocial support, advocacy, and community mobilization
- Provide ongoing supervision, mentoring and coaching to staff
- Develop and monitor program plans, procurement and spending for VAWG activities
- Ensure ethical data collection and sharing
- Conduct regular team meetings to assess progress and resolve challenges
- Submit activity reports on weekly, monthly and quarterly basis
- Assist in recruitment, training, performance evaluation and HR coordination
- Build relationships with stakeholders such as government bodies, UN agencies and partners
