The Senior Finance Officer will manage accurate financial reporting, month‑end closing, donor compliance and audit readiness while leading capacity building and digitalization efforts within the Hope for Justice finance department.
Responsibilities
- Review and validate financial documents for postings, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes and maintain comprehensive records
- Prepare government financial reports on a monthly basis and perform reconciliations (bank, payroll, tax, GL, stock, prepayment)
- Provide technical oversight and training to finance staff, identifying capacity building needs
- Document procedures, workflows and guidance notes for standardization
- Support digital transition of financial systems, promoting data accuracy and system integrity
- Coordinate across finance functions and ensure continuity during staff absences
