Gender, Inclusion and Safeguarding (GIS) Officer

About the Role

The GIS Officer will embed gender equality, social inclusion, and safeguarding principles into Hope Enterprises' SEED program, ensuring equitable participation of women and vulnerable groups across internships, apprenticeships, job placements, and enterprise development.

Responsibilities

• Integrate gender equality, social inclusion, disability inclusion, and safeguarding principles into program activities
• Promote equitable participation of women, youth and vulnerable groups in internships, apprenticeships, job placements and enterprise development
• Identify and address barriers to employment for marginalized groups
• Ensure inclusive and accessible training materials and workplace engagements
• Implement safeguarding and PSEAH measures across all project activities
• Conduct risk assessments and maintain confidential reporting mechanisms
• Deliver training and awareness sessions on gender, inclusion, safeguarding and disability inclusion
• Support employers in creating safe and inclusive workplaces
• Collaborate with TVTs, employers and community stakeholders to strengthen inclusive employment practices
• Monitor participation data and conduct regular compliance visits
• Prepare periodic reports on performance and recommend improvements
