Accounting Manager

About the Role

The Accounting Manager leads all accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with standards, effective cash flow management, and strong internal controls while managing a team of accountants.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full accounting operations and ensure data integrity
• Lead month-end and year-end closing processes
• Prepare accurate financial reports and analysis
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, local tax laws, and internal policies
• Manage accounts payable process including invoice review, posting, payments, vendor reconciliation, and accruals
• Coordinate with procurement and warehouse for 3-way matching and GIT follow-up
• Maintain fixed asset register and depreciation schedules
• Oversee customer invoicing, collections, aging analysis, revenue recognition, and bad debt provisioning
• Conduct reconciliations between subledger and general ledger
• Implement credit control procedures
• Supervise and develop accounting team
• Strengthen internal controls and support audits
