The Protection & Inclusion Manager will lead protection-focused programming for older people and persons with disabilities across HelpAge Ethiopia’s humanitarian portfolio, ensuring inclusive, rights-based interventions and coordinating advocacy efforts.
Responsibilities
- Lead design, implementation, and monitoring of protection strategies for older people and persons with disabilities
- Ensure protection is central across all sectors
- Provide technical support to field teams and partners
- Strengthen community engagement and accountability mechanisms
- Coordinate advocacy with government, UN agencies, and NGOs
- Develop work plans, budgets, and monitoring frameworks
- Conduct field visits and provide guidance
- Establish referral pathways for health and social services
- Supervise protection officers and build team capacity
- Represent the organization in national coordination forums
- Contribute to proposal development and donor engagement
