The Brewery Nurse provides clinical care to employees and patients at the Harar brewery, managing vital signs, wound care, emergency response, and occupational health safety while ensuring compliance with national regulations.
Responsibilities
- Record patient vital signs and monitor for irregularities
- Ensure clinical equipment is clean and ready for use
- Treat injuries or illnesses of employees and notify head clinic when necessary
- Assist patients with tests and examinations before doctor visits
- Perform or assist minor surgeries based on wound type
- Participate in occupational health and safety practices, report unsafe conditions, refill first aid boxes
- Prepare emergency response including ambulance readiness and drill participation
- Maintain accurate documentation of encounters and treatments
- Stay updated on national MOH regulations and best practices
- Educate employees on workplace safety, health promotion, and preventive measures
- Take part in first-aid training
