The Purchasing Expert will oversee supplier management, procurement processes, inventory control, and cost optimization for a leading Ethiopian chemical manufacturer. The role ensures timely sourcing of materials while maintaining strong vendor relationships and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and vendors
• Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers
• Manage purchase of raw materials and services
• Review purchase requisitions for accuracy and timeliness
• Conduct market research for competitive pricing
• Monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstock
• Implement cost‑saving strategies within budget
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations
