About the Role

The Area Manager leads GOAL’s field operations in Afar – Assayita, overseeing program delivery, operational support, security, and stakeholder coordination to ensure effective humanitarian response.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership to field teams and oversee operational functions such as security, HR, logistics, procurement, finance and compliance
  • Ensure programme implementation aligns with donor documents and national standards
  • Coordinate with local authorities, NGOs and government partners
  • Manage risks and resolve interdepartmental conflicts
  • Lead staff development, performance management and welfare
