The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer designs, implements, and manages MEL systems for a biodiversity conservation project in Ethiopia, ensuring high-quality data collection, analysis, and reporting to inform decision-making and donor compliance.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement MEL plans and tools for project teams
- Coordinate baseline surveys, assessments and evaluation exercises
- Build capacity of field staff on data collection, management and analysis
- Ensure data quality and timely reporting to donors and partners
- Prepare quarterly progress reports and support financial reporting
- Facilitate learning workshops and document lessons learned
- Maintain strong partner relationships and promote gender-sensitive monitoring
