The role involves delivering comprehensive sexual and reproductive health care, including family planning, maternal and child health, HIV/STI management, and abortion services. The provider supports clinic operations, supplies management, patient counseling, medication prescription, and training of health professionals.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Clinic Doctor with planning and coordinating clinic activities
- Ensure availability of medical supplies and equipment
- Provide preventive and curative health care services to women during prenatal, postnatal, and reproductive periods
- Screen, examine, counsel, and treat clients on integrated SRH services including FP, MCH, HIV/STI, CAC
- Order laboratory tests and prescribe contraceptives and medications
- Insert and remove IUCDs, Norplant and assist with voluntary surgical contraception
- Refer clients to specialist doctors as needed
- Conduct training and give lectures to health personnel and non‑health staff on family planning and SRH topics
- Maintain service statistics, participate in research activities, and prepare lesson plans
- Ensure quality of SRH services and comply with FGAE regulations
