About the Role

The Midwives Nurse supports clinic operations, delivers comprehensive maternal and reproductive health services—including prenatal/postnatal care, contraception, abortion care—and trains staff while ensuring quality and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Clinic Manager with planning, organizing and coordinating clinic activities
  • Provide prenatal and postnatal care, diagnose and treat reproductive health issues
  • Prescribe contraceptives and manage laboratory tests
  • Insert and remove IUCDs and assist in surgical contraception
  • Offer comprehensive abortion care
  • Deliver health education and IEC/BCC sessions
  • Train healthcare professionals on family planning and SRH services
  • Maintain patient records and data backups
  • Prepare service statistics and participate in research
  • Manage supplies requisitions
