The Midwives Nurse supports clinic operations, delivers comprehensive maternal and reproductive health services—including prenatal/postnatal care, contraception, abortion care—and trains staff while ensuring quality and confidentiality.
Responsibilities
- Assist Clinic Manager with planning, organizing and coordinating clinic activities
- Provide prenatal and postnatal care, diagnose and treat reproductive health issues
- Prescribe contraceptives and manage laboratory tests
- Insert and remove IUCDs and assist in surgical contraception
- Offer comprehensive abortion care
- Deliver health education and IEC/BCC sessions
- Train healthcare professionals on family planning and SRH services
- Maintain patient records and data backups
- Prepare service statistics and participate in research
- Manage supplies requisitions
