The Cluster Officer leads SMART START IUCD scale‑up activities at the woreda level, coordinating implementation, monitoring, mentoring facilities, ensuring quality standards, collecting data and reporting to project managers.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate SMART START and DMPA SC SI activities in assigned woredas
- Plan, implement and supervise facility performance
- Conduct gap assessments and develop action plans
- Provide technical mentoring to facilities
- Organize training for providers
- Monitor trained provider availability and replacements
- Engage with local partners and stakeholders
- Review service provider performance
- Ensure data tools are used correctly
- Maintain QOC standards and adverse event reporting
- Collect, analyze and share data with senior M&E officer
- Prepare periodic program reports
- Design community mobilization strategies
- Support supply chain management
- Document lessons learned
