The Compliance Manager ensures that Ethiopian Securities Exchange operates within all applicable laws and regulations by developing policies, monitoring controls, training staff, engaging regulators, and conducting investigations.
Responsibilities
- Monitor compliance across operations
- Develop and implement policies
- Coordinate risk assessments
- Identify and report risks
- Supervise controls and monitoring programs
- Provide training on AML/CFT, conflict of interest, whistleblowing
- Maintain compliance registers
- Engage with regulators (ECMA, FIS)
- Prepare reports for Board and regulatory bodies
- Conduct investigations into violations
- Leverage technology to streamline processes
