About the Role

The Laboratory Equipment and Commodities Procurement Liaison Officer will manage the end‑to‑end procurement cycle for laboratory supplies under a World Bank funded project, ensuring compliance with procurement guidelines and timely delivery of equipment to national and regional reference laboratories.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate procurement activities among EPHI, MoH, regions and World Bank teams
  • Prepare and review technical specifications and bidding documents
  • Monitor procurement status and provide updates
  • Verify technical compliance of bids and quotations
  • Support supplier evaluation and contract approval
  • Facilitate delivery, installation and commissioning of equipment
  • Maintain documentation and records
  • Prepare periodic procurement reports
  • Manage warranties and after‑sales service issues
  • Coordinate payment processing, customs clearance and distribution
  • Attend project meetings and training sessions
