About the Role

The Translator, English will convert EHRC documents and press materials between Amharic and English, ensuring accuracy and cultural appropriateness while managing media relations and online content.

Responsibilities

Translate official documents and press releases between Amharic and English
Draft and edit bilingual articles and media materials
Maintain the commission’s website and social media with translated content
Liaise with local and international media representatives
Coordinate with subject‑matter experts on technical terminology
Support multilingual publication processes
Update terminology glossaries
Monitor media coverage and translate key content for internal reporting
