The Registrar manages human rights complaints through a comprehensive case management system, ensuring accurate record‑keeping, timely communication with complainants, and coordination with case managers to issue summons and decisions.
Responsibilities
- Rule on admissibility and preside over proceedings as appropriate
- Serve as principal user of a state‑of‑the‑art online/manual interactive case management system
- Oversee compilation, recording, verification, and dissemination of complaint data
- Provide information, assistance and referrals to complainants
- Work with case managers to issue summons and decisions
- Act as a resource for the commission’s community on complaint handling
- Review systems, policies, guidelines and recommend changes
- Aggregate data on complaint handling processes, response times and thematic areas
