Senior Electrical Engineer responsible for designing, supervising, and commissioning electrical systems in building projects, ensuring compliance with standards and coordinating across multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead design, supervision, and execution of electrical systems in building projects
- Develop power distribution, lighting, ELV, emergency, grounding designs
- Prepare load calculations, single-line diagrams, panel schedules, equipment sizing
- Review shop drawings, submittals, method statements from contractors
- Ensure compliance with local codes and international standards (IEC, NEC, BS)
- Conduct site inspections for quality, progress, and adherence to drawings
- Coordinate with MEP teams, architects, civil engineers on technical issues
- Prepare technical reports, inspection reports, progress updates
- Lead testing & commissioning of electrical systems
- Evaluate and approve electrical equipment
- Identify conflicts, propose solutions, support corrective actions
- Participate in project meetings with clients and consultants
- Ensure proper documentation: as-built drawings, O&M manuals, compliance certificates
- Support cost estimation and BOQ preparation during tendering or variations
