The Quantity Surveyor (Tender & Estimation) prepares accurate cost estimates, BOQs, and tender documentation for building projects, ensuring competitive pricing and compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed BOQ and cost breakdowns for building and renovation projects
- Analyze architectural, structural, and MEP drawings to extract accurate quantities
- Develop cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, subcontractors, and preliminaries
- Ensure pricing aligns with market rates and project requirements
- Perform precise quantity take‑offs for civil, architectural, and MEP works
- Verify quantities submitted by subcontractors and suppliers
- Maintain updated measurement sheets and cost databases
- Prepare tender reports, cost summaries, and risk assessments
- Review tender documents to identify risks and cost impacts
- Coordinate with engineering teams and clarify technical requirements
- Evaluate subcontractor quotations and prepare comparison sheets
- Communicate with suppliers for competitive pricing
- Support negotiation processes during tender finalization
- Provide cost‑saving proposals and alternative materials or methods
