About the Role

The Quantity Surveyor (Tender & Estimation) prepares accurate cost estimates, BOQs, and tender documentation for building projects, ensuring competitive pricing and compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed BOQ and cost breakdowns for building and renovation projects
  • Analyze architectural, structural, and MEP drawings to extract accurate quantities
  • Develop cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, subcontractors, and preliminaries
  • Ensure pricing aligns with market rates and project requirements
  • Perform precise quantity take‑offs for civil, architectural, and MEP works
  • Verify quantities submitted by subcontractors and suppliers
  • Maintain updated measurement sheets and cost databases
  • Prepare tender reports, cost summaries, and risk assessments
  • Review tender documents to identify risks and cost impacts
  • Coordinate with engineering teams and clarify technical requirements
  • Evaluate subcontractor quotations and prepare comparison sheets
  • Communicate with suppliers for competitive pricing
  • Support negotiation processes during tender finalization
  • Provide cost‑saving proposals and alternative materials or methods
  • Assist in developing cost strategies for competitive tendering
  • Support post‑tender cost analysis and project budgeting
